"Naive Machines" is the third release by Ephemerism and combines slow techno with human-like vocal elements. The album is a statement about technology with a particular focus on the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) in our daily lives. The album's driving beats and catchy melodies are offset by unsettling pads and mild distortion. This mirrors the arc of modern technology, whose exciting and uplifting developments are countered by a dystopian sense of dread when viewed in aggregate.

Similarly, the cover art, a six-fingered hand (that was not AI-generated), represents something that AI algorithms struggle with, at least at this time...
